The idea

Log every attempt

Each time you cook the dish, you add a version: what you changed, a note, a rating. Nothing gets overwritten.

See exactly what changed

Fomik diffs two versions side by side — ingredients, steps, timing, servings — the same way you'd compare two drafts of anything else.

Promote the winner

When a version is right, you mark it as the main version. The recipe is finalised; the attempts that got you there stay in its history.

What you're signing up for

This is v0.1. It's small on purpose. Expect rough edges. Adding your first recipe takes about a minute. The payoff doesn't show up then — it shows up the second time you cook the dish, when you open the app and see what actually changed since last time.

What's not in it yet

  • No sync between devices — recipes live on the one iPhone you add them on.
  • No nutrition information.
  • No AI import from links, photos, or text.
  • No photos on recipes or versions.
  • Light mode only.

How to join

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store, if you don't have it already.
  2. Open the join link above on your iPhone.
  3. Tap Accept, then Install. Fomik will appear on your home screen like any other app.

Privacy policy

Fomik is built to hold as little of your data as possible. This policy explains exactly what exists and where it goes.

Your recipes

Recipes, versions, notes, and ratings are stored only on your device, in the app's local database. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server. The developer cannot see your recipes — there is nowhere for them to go.

What Fomik collects

Nothing. Fomik has no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. It does not transmit data because it has no way to.

What Apple collects

Joining the beta happens through Apple's TestFlight, not through Fomik. To use TestFlight, you give Apple either an email address or use a public join link. Apple gives the developer aggregate install and session counts, and — only if you opt in when installing — crash reports. A crash report can include your device model, iOS version, and a stack trace. It does not include your recipe content. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles this.

Feedback

If you send feedback through TestFlight or by email, it goes to the developer directly. It can include a screenshot and your email address. It's kept only for the length of the beta.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking of any kind. It's hosted on Netlify, which processes standard server logs (including IP addresses) as part of serving the page. See Netlify's privacy notice.

Deleting the app

Deleting Fomik from your device deletes its data with it. There is no copy anywhere else.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can contact REPLACE_ME (CONTROLLER_NAME), based in REPLACE_ME (CONTROLLER_COUNTRY), at hello@REPLACE_ME.example to ask what is held about you or to have it erased. Given everything above, that's limited to your beta enrolment with Apple and any feedback you've sent in.

Children

Fomik is not directed at children.

Changes

This policy must be rewritten before any build ships that adds analytics, sync, or any other form of data collection.
